Adapting the time-honored fairytale “Pinocchio” originally written by Italian author Carlo Collodi and made famous by the 1940 Disney movie, Pinocchio is one of the most recognised characters in literary history. Hong Kong Players is proud to present its adaptation of Pinocchio for this year’s Christmas Panto!

When a pair of magical fairies happen upon Geppetto, the lonely woodworker looking for a family, they decide to work their magic to grant his wish. However, they mistakenly bring one of his puppets to life! Can Geppetto learn how to be a parent to his new wooden child, or will Pinocchio be lured away by the temptations of the outside world? This year’s Panto promises to be full of fun and dames while we ring in the 2026 Christmas season!
